Itching to write in 3 -- 2 -- 1 -- Go!

Less than 5 hours until the dawn of a new age.  Does that sound a bit dramatic?  How would you describe a foray into the world of novel writing?  Two years running I have been able to successfully complete the National Novel Writing Month competition.  This past November I managed to get the bulk of the writing done within six days.  Unfortunately that was at the expense of most human contact, specifically that of my family.

At a somewhat slower pace, but with daily word count goals “The Book” should be quite manageable, while packing enough deadline pressure to ensure that it gets done.  The outline is done, and the writing will begin during the morning hours.  The anticipation is building and I can hardly wait.

When I re-read this down the road I hope that my cheerful persona is not overcome by the writing blues.
